Club of Dearborn Foundation, Inc.
The Exchange
Club Dearborn Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c) (4) organization
and the fundraising and charitable arm of the local Dearborn
Exchange Club. Each year, the local Club conducts activities
and events to raise money for its programs. Among its annual
fundraising events are the Exchange Club Golf Classic, the
$10,000 Give-a-Way Gala, and the city-wide Sports Ticket Raffle.
Net
proceeds from these events are granted upon request to organizations
and individuals in need. An eleven-member Foundation board
considers requests that meet local Exchange Club programs
and priorities. Nearly $30,000 is distributed each year to
worthy purposes.
Grant Eligibility & Program Priority
The Exchange
Club of Dearborn, through its Foundation, awards grants to
organizations and individuals working to improving the quality
of life for Dearborn residents. Individuals and organizations
are eligible for grants. Priority is currently given for activity
in the following categories: College & University Scholarships;
Senior
Adult Services; Children's
Health & Safety; Soldiers
& Veterans;
Fine & Performing Arts; Child
&
Youth Enrichment; Community Outreach; Police & Fire Recognition
& Support; Community Enrichment; and Individuals & Families
in Need. Grants are also given in support of the National
Exchange Club programs; Americanism, Community Service
& Youth, and Prevention of Child Abuse.
Application
Procedure
Individuals and organizations seeking a grant should submit
a letter of request to:

At a minimum,
the letter of request should:
1.
Identify the individual or organization seeking the grant
including email address, telephone, mailing address or other
contact information.
2. Specify the amount of the grant request.
3. Describe fully the activity to be funded and how
the grant would be used.
4. Identify all other individuals and organizations
that are being asked to provide funds in addition to the
Exchange Club of Dearborn.
5. Describe how the Exchange Club of Dearborn would
be recognized publically for its grant award.
